I would like to thank each person that offered suggestions.

I have sent an e-main to ask a Librarian.

I called Steve in Carthage at the research center.

I know that my grandfather, George Reis was in the GAR as I have an article
about his death from the Carl Junction Standard:

G.A.R. RESOLUTIONS

The following resolutions were adopted at a meeting of the G.A.R. post of
Carl Junction on the death of Comrade George Reis who died Dec. 18, 1914.

Steve could not locate any information in his material.

I have sent off for Civil War file and he enlisted under the name of George
Rice but by 1900 was going by George Reis. So early part of file has Rice
and pension has Reis.

I will follow up on suggestions. Thank each of you.
