All I know is that William J. Palmer's father was also William Palmer and his mother was Sarah Hunter. I have know idea who William's grandparents were. William J. Palmer married Joretta Hulsey (also spelled Joeretta or Jorretta or Josretta), she was sometimes called Joe too. They had FIVE children: Harry, Byrtus, Pallace (or Pallas), Zola and Charlotte. Zola NEVER married. Byrtus married a woman named Mary Newman. Byrtus had a daughter named JoAnn Palmer Worsfold. I do not know if Harry or Pallas ever married. The parents, Zola and Byrtus are buried at Mt Hope Cemetery in Webb City, MO. I cannot find ANY info out about Charlotte as yet. I do know from a census record tho that Charlotte was born in 1910, so if she were still alive, she would be 97 years old today. As I stated, I have never heard the surname POLEN. Was her maiden name Palmer or Polen??? I'm pretty certain that ALL 5 children were born in MO. Their father was also born in MO, as was their mother.!
This family lived in Carterville and probably Joplin too. I'm connected with them through Jorretta Hulsey Palmer. Her much younger sister, Jesse, married by great uncle, Harry Simon.
