Not quite correct. The will of Bartholomew HERRINGTON written on 25 Oct. 1830 left his wife Eliza all the property she had when he married her. "I give unto John HERRINGTON my father my son Silas that was born August 19th, 1830."

He wanted his father to raise and school him, and also left his father a mare, a colt, two cows and yearling, and all his hogs about 20 head to further enable him to raise Silas. He made his father John his executor. The will was proved on 16 Nov. 1830. The child may have died young, as I have no further record of him.

I don't know if it is correct, but *Among by Pioneer Ancestors* by Anna B. Sartori (St. Louis, MO: Sartori, 1942, 2nd Edition 1950), 76 omits the marriage to Bartholomew HERRINGTON, but states that Eliza, daughter of Abraham HILDEBRAND married Michael NULL and "two of her daughters married McKinnons and live near Dixon, Mo."
