My grandmother's second husband, she had three, Allen Jasper JACKSON, was a
Union Civil War Vet. She was his fifth, and last, wife. He was about forty years
older than her. Old Jasper, as the family refers to him, was about seventy two when
his last child was born. He fathered eighteen children.

There was a termed used to describe this type of Civil War Vet marriages to younger
women. I think maybe May and December marriages.
