At Jamestown, California, April 2, 1866, Julien W. Wiatt, formerly of
Jefferson County, in this State.

In common with a large circle of admiring friends we have to lament the
death of one who, possessed of those many excellent qualities of character which
render a true manhood most attractive, died but too young.
