Died, on Saturday, July 23, at the home of her parents near Dry Knob,
Fannie S. Detherage, aged 2 years. This funeral services were held
Sunday and interment was made in the Wood grave yard.

MINNIE S. DETHERAGE:
Mrs. Minnie Susan Detherage died at her home in the Oakland neighborhood
about two weeks ago, aged 83 years.
Funeral services were held at Antiock church at Oakland, conducted by Rev.
C. W. Wood, of
Agnes, a nephew of the deceased. He was followed by Rev. Arthur Wallace.
The text
used was Rev. 14:13, "Blessed are the dead which are in the Lord."
Interment was in the cemetery adjoining the church.
Mrs. Detherage was born in Warren Co., KY, January 31, 1836. She was the
widow of James D. Detherage, who died in 1900.
She was the mother of 17 children, 10 of whom preceded her into the life
beyond.
Those who survive her are:
Mrs. W. E. Rippy, of Oakland
Mrs. A. M. Haines of Lyons
Mrs. M. J. James of Drynob
Marion Detherage of Oklahoma
Thomas James and Jesse Detherage of this county.
Mrs. Detherage had led an active Christian life for more than 50 years and
was
a regular attendant at church services until advanced age kept her at home.
During the past year she had pieced three quilts for the Red Cross.
A good woman has passed from this life to the life eternal.
