Gayle And Gae ; best on line service is one question at atime Missouri State
archives.www.sos.mo.gov/archives. or try www.mcpl.lib.mo.us./gen
Historical Society Newspaper collection at Columbia has a reasonable
research fee. best service is by mail unless you have exact dates; State of
Missouri Historical Society is correct name write if you are to come visit
. they have helpful guides to their records. As for Lexington, It is
trails regional Public Library and there microfilm reader is motorized.
Yes for a very short time 4 years( one session) the state law required birth
recording, then the new session in revising left it out and as you say it
was not consistent until Federal Law made it mandatory.(Birth Records). By
the way Mid-continent Genealogical Library copiers need change only now
