Message Board Post:
Dear,dear Anita!
Now I understand why you are so interested in helping me! You are a very sensitive person! You know, my great-uncle was a miner, too, but in a mine in Italy, near Sassoferrato (at Monterosso, this is the name af the place) and he died like Antonio for an explosion when his son (my mother's cousin) was only one year old, but his body restes in a cemetery near Sassoferrato and we can visit him sometimes.Being a coal miner seemed the only way to get money and feed the family, and I think now we are so lucky for having less dangerous jobs!I've always though that Antonio would like going back home, dead or alive, that's why I've started to search him, and thanks you and other kind people I've been so close to find him...
I've received your five mail on 11 April, the ones with scanned documents about the story of Waverly and it mines, but I haven't got the photos of the cemetery. I think the reason is the same you didn't get the photos of Antonio's clock: they are documents too heavy for my e-mail. I'll try to send you the photos tonight with my husband's help from home (at this time I write you from the office) and I'm sure everything's going to go well. I'll send you the photos one at time and I'll ask to my sister the serial number that was there on the inside (she wrote it on a paper because the photocamera didn't let it show) so you'll have all the informations I've get about it.
I thank your wonderful son (he's great: he studies, he works, he's a very good boy!!!you must have very proud of him!)for the time he would like to spend to send me the photos of the cemetery. Thank you again, now it's better if I start working or my boss will kill me!
Your sincerely,
Valentina
