This is information sent to me by Ross Cameron on June 10, 1999:-----------
Fountain & Journal:
11 Sep 1879. Died the 6th of August, Mr. Ephraim Tarter, 3 miles east of
Phelps.

Ross Cameron wrote that he could find no tombstone inscription for him but
suggested that Ephraim would probably be buried near his death place.
