Have you looked in Dade Co., MO? Lemuel Speer lived in Round Grove, Green
Township, Lawrence Co., close to the Lawrence-Dade Co. line and the Round
Grove people had a lot of connections to Dade Co. families.

According to Lemuel Speer's March 23, 1922 obit., Eldora Jones was his 2nd
of 4 wives, and Benjamin H. Speer was indeed their son. The obit. states that
Lemuel was buried in the Round Grove Cemetery on March 12, 1922 but if the
grave ever had a stone, it's no longer readable.
