Tom,
I found Elizabeth's parents and probably Owen's too. Incidentally, Elizabeth was 32 in 1910 so she would have been born about 1878 not 1872.
Their marriage record. By the way according to the 1910 census, this was Owen's second marriage and Elizabeth's first.
Lawrence County Missouri Marriage Records, Vol. 9, Jan. 1904 - Mar. 1908, p. 39:
Stewart, Owen A., 31, Springfield, Greene Co., Missouri, to Elizabeth Botts, 27, Mt. Vernon, 27 Sep 1905, by Geo. F. Harbour, Clergyman, at bride's residence, Book J, p. 232.
I did not find Owen Stuart nor Elizabeth Botts in the 1900 Lawrence county census. However, in the 1910 census I did find a probable candidate for Elizabeth's mother born in Pa., with two sons born in Kansas and parents born in Pa.
1910 Census, Missouri, Lawrence Co., South Mount Vernon Township, E. D. 96, sheet 8A, lines, dwelling family 159:
Henrietta Botts, Head, f, w, 57, widow, 11 children, 9 living, Pa., Pa., Pa.
Otto, son, m, w, 20, single, Kan., Pa., Pa.
Hal, son, m, w, 15, single, Kan., Pa., Pa.
From this I found:
1880 census, Kansas, Lincoln Co., Pleasant Township, p. 412D:
Edward Botts, w, m, 24, [head], mar., farmer, Pa, Pa, Pa
Henrietta, w, f, 24, wife, mar., keeping house, Pa, Pa, Pa
Jessie, w, f, 4, daughter, single, Ks, Pa, Pa
Lizzie, w, f, 2, daughter, single, Ks, Pa, Pa, Pa
Hugh, w, m, 8/12, son, single, Ks, Pa, Pa
This family is in Lawrence County in 1900 but Elizabeth is not listed. Perhaps she was living elsewhere and her parents thought she would be counted there and wasn't.
1900 Census, Missouri, Lawrence Co., East Mount Vernon Township, family 9:
Edward Botts Sep 1852 47 Yr. M 23 Pa. Pa. Pa. Carpenter
Henretta Jul 1854 44 Yr. 11 7 Pa. Pa. Pa.
Hugh (m) Oct 1879 20 Yr. Ks. Pa. Pa. Farm Lab
Charley (m) Nov 1883 16 Yr. Ks. Pa. Pa.
William (m) Nov 1883 16 Yr. Ks. Mo. Mo.
Kate (f) Nov 1885 14 Yr. Ks. Pa. Pa.
Otts (m) Sep 1887 12 Yr. Ks. Pa. Pa.
Lena (f) May 1891 9 Yr. Ks. Pa. Pa.
Hall (m) Apr 1895 5 Yr. Ks. Pa. Pa.
Elizabeth and Clarence Stuart are buried at Maple Park Cemetery in Aurora.
Lawrence County, Missouri, Tombstone Inscriptions, Vol. IV, Aurora Township, Aurora City, Maple Park Cemetery, p. 25:
Block 17, Lot 8:
Stuart, Clarence W., 1908-1928
Elizabeth, 1878-1961
With the year of death, you can order a death certificate from the Vital Records Office in Jefferson City, Missouri. If Clarence or Elizabeth died in Missouri there should be a death certificate.
You can phone or write the Aurora Advertiser to see if obituaries were published in the newspaper.
Aurora Advertiser

In the 1930 Lawrence County census, Elizabeth Stuart was living at 820 South Park Avenue in Aurora and is listed as a widow. So apparently Owen also died between 1920 and 1930. Irene and Joe are living with her. I did not find a marriage record for Alice.
The City of Aurora operates Maple Park Cemetery. You might write the Aurora City Hall or phone (417) 678-2308 to see if Owen is also buried there without a stone. If, so they should be able to give you a date of burial.
Without a date of death it will be harder to obtain a death certificate for Owen. However, Clarence's obit. in 1928 should state whether his father was still living or not. And the Aurora Advertiser may be able to find an obit for Owen.
I believe the Missouri Vital Records Office will search a five-year span, so you could make a request for 1920-1924 and another for 1925-1929 if it was not found the first time. Of course, he could have died out-of-state in which case his death certificate would not be in Missouri, but in the state in which he died.
I did not find a definite match for Owen in the 1880 census, though there is an Owen, age 2, born in Iowa, which is a good match for census ages.
1880 Census, Iowa, Marion Co., Dallas Township, p. 4, family :
Stuart, Lewis, w, m, 30, [head], mar., farmer, Ind, Ky, Ky
Martha, w, f, 29, wife, mar., keeping house, Illinois, Ten.(?), Ky
Ora, w, f, 5, daughter, Iowa, Ind., Ill.
Owen, w, m, 2, son, Iowa, Ind. Ill.
This should get you further along in your research.
