Hi Ross,
I noticed that you mentioned a book:

A Genealogy of the Hillhouse - Dickey Families, 1639 - 1972. By Bessie
Hillhouse Young and Ruth Mackey Young, n.p., n.d.

Does this have information on Martha Dickey who married William Stevenson?
She was born in 1795 (maybe in Alabama, maybe North Carolina), the
daughter of William Dickey and Mary Stephenson. The family moved to
Kentucky, and she married William Stevenson in 1815 in Livingston,
KY. The family then moved to Macon Co., IL, where Martha may have died
about 1837.

William Stevenson then moved with his children to Barry/Lawrence/Jasper
counties, and married Esther Young 1 Dec 1842, Jasper County, Missouri.
He is on the 1850 census for Jasper county.

By 1859, he had moved to Anderson County, Kansas. Don't yet know when he
died or where he is buried.
