Melissa,
There is a brief history of the Marionville Christian Church in the 1974 Lawrence County Missouri History book, p. 247, written by E. T. Sechler. It was founded in 1871 according to the 1917 Lawrence County History. J. R. Blunt is the last of the "later pastors" named in the 1974 history article. It appears he became pastor about 1905 and served a few years. At the end of the article is a list of "Present Officers:" which is a long list. The clerk was Mrs. F. L. Elsey. The clerk kept the records. Elders were Thomas Owens, Robert Turner, W. L. Adkins, and Charles Hadley. Deacons were F. L. Elsey, Wm. Arnold, E. L. Payne, C. I. Francis, Jim Gilmore, H. L. Caddin, I. R. Matthews, Joe Elliott, and Dan and Ronnie French. Trustees were Frank Moore, Don Hubbard, and W. C. Arnold. Sechler refers to the records several times, so they existed when he wrote the article. Perhaps you can find some of the above named people still living in Marionville and one of them would know!
who has the records.
