Maria Catherine Elisabeth Heidemann was born 21 September 1857 in the village of Osterwick, Westphalia Germany. Her parents were Joseph Heidemann and Elisabeth Huester. She married August Thale 21 October 1880 in Quincy. They moved to Lewistown, Mo. around 1904. I am looking for information about her uncle Bernard Henry Huester born 18 April 1836 at Osterwick. He came to Quincy in 1860, and he served in the 16th Illinois Infantry Regiment Co. H in the Civil War. He can not be found after he was mustered out in 1865.
