Judy,
Were you able to find the parents for David? I did find find names for his parents through Ancestry. Of course different spellings, but close enough. It was stated that his father was a David, also, and mother Ann Rice. It also said that David died July 29, 1870 in Union, St. Joseph, Ind. The 1970 census was done in July, so his place of death is a mistake or he was in Ind between the date the census was done and when he died. Margie
