Richard Cottrell rites Aug. 3
Richard M. Cottrell of Fredericktown died Monday, Aug. 1, 1983 at the age of 66. He was a maintenance engineer.
Chapel services were held Wednesday, Aug. 3 at Wilson Funeral Home with the Rev. Johnny Clements officiating. Burial was in Marcus Memorial Park.
Serving as pallbearers were Torkey Graham, Frank LaRue, Bob Tibbs, Randy Briggs, Stanley Schwandt and Lindell Clements.
Mr. Cottrell was born March 23, 1917 in St. Louis to the late Mart and May (Dees) Cottrell. He married the former Edith Tibbs who survives.
Preceding Mr. Cottrell in death were his parents and two brothers, Paul Cottrell and Mort Cottrell.
He was a member of the St. Louis Gem and Mineral Club and a member of the National Rifle association of America.
