Hi Nancy,

But the question is was she the Emily Shelton shown living with
Mary Hickman and next door to Charles D. in the 1870 Census??

It would be understandable if she were since she and her siblings had to
work out after her father died -- and it would tell us that maybe
Paralee was with one of the Wright or Shelton families - or harder to
deal with at this distance in time, maybe just between the houses of
Charles D. and Mary Hickman when the Census taker showed up.
