Deaths.
Died, at his home north of this city, on Brush Creek, Monday of last week, George Birdsong, aged about 80 years, the eldest of a family of children of which Presly and William Birdsong were brothers. He was a son of James Birdsong, who was one of the early pioneer settlers of this county, and if we mistake not, there were two brother of the first settlers, James and William, their descendants being numerous, one of the largest family connections in the county. Mr. Birdsong died on the farm he settled some sixty years ago. He was buried at the Allee graveyard, Rev. N. Allee preaching a very interesting funeral sermon.
