Untitled article, dated March 22nd, 1886; original source unknown.
Extracted from the newspaper article collection started in 1879 by Mrs.
Nannie Brown of Madison, Missouri.
"Mrs. Martha Swindell, wife of (Joel) Swindell, died last Tuesday
(night), aged about 39 years. She was (the) daughter of Bryant and
Rebecca (Bailey?), and was one of a family of ten daughters and one son.
She had (been) a great sufferer, more or less an (invalid) for several
years. She was buried in the burying ground on the Swindell homeplace
last Thursday afternoon. A large concourse of relatives and friends
were present. After brief but very appropriate exercises by Elder
Featherston her body was committed to the dust. The grief stricken
husband and relatives have the warmest sympathy of all in their great
affliction."
