Obituary
"On Sunday morning, April 21, 1895, Victor, child of Amos and Alice
Hulen near Centralia, departed this life, aged 16 months the day of his
death. The disease was measles with congression of the brain. Victor
was an (unusually) bright and an affectionate child, hence he was a
favorite with everyone. His life was like a flower opening and closing
before fruitage. He taught the parents self-denial and patience to love
littleness, (unknown) and helplessness. He was a (gift) from God to
their home. They will now feel and say in all the years to come:
T'was better to have loved and lost,
Than never to have loved at all.
In the Swindell cemetery Apr" (. rest of article is missing).
