Untitled, undated announcement; original source unknown. Extracted from
the newspaper article collection started in 1879 by Mrs. Nannie Brown of
Madison, Missouri.
"Died, at his son's home southeast of here, Tuesday morning of Bright's
disease, Uncle Sammy Cornelius, aged 66 years. Deceased had been
confined to his bed for several months and his death was considered only
a matter of time by his relatives and friends. Uncle Sammy was a good
man and his death will be regretted by all who knew him. May his soul
rest in peace."
(Note: Bright's Disease was a common term for all types of kidney
disorders)
