article collection started in 1879 by Mrs. Nannie Brown of Madison,
Missouri.



Obituary.



"Died, at his brother Robert's, (Unknown) miles northwest of Madison,
(Friday) last, James W. Thompson, aged 32 years, 5 months and (2?) days.
His remains were laid to rest in the home cemetery Saturday at 2
o'clock. He is gone (to) meet his sisters and brothers (who) went
before, dear parents, do (not) weep for him. Dear brother (thou) hast
left us and thy loss we (deeply) feel; but as God doeth all (things)
well, he will heal our (sorrow)."
