Obituary.

"Andrew J. Wilhams fell asleep in Jesus at 1 o'clock, Saturday night,
March 11, 1899. He was born in Giles county, Va., Nov 8, 1832, and came
to Missouri in 1853. He was a devoted member of the Baptist church at
Hickory Grove for some forty years past. In (1860) he was united in
marriage to Permelia Mallory, to which union eleven children were born -
nine girls and two boys - all of whom survive to mourn his loss. The
funeral services over his remains were conducted by Rev. Joe Smith, of
Salisbury, at his late home, after which (they) were laid to rest in the
burying grounds at J.P. Snidow's. The sympathy of the entire community
goes out to the mourning children of the deceased to partially alleviate
their burden of grief and so live that they may meet him in that fairer
and better land."
