In Memoriam.
"Died, Oct 7th, 1891, near Madison, Mattie Bell Garnett, the only
daughter of A.F. and Annie Garnett, born June 15th, 1885. She was 6
years, 3 months and 22 days old.
She was the music of thy home,
Their sweet and darling girl;
But God has taken away the one
That was thy light, thy life, thy joy.
But she has gone - only gone -
Out of pain and into bliss;
Out of sad and sinful weakness
Into perfect holiness.
Her snowy brows - no care shall shade them;
Bright eyes, tears shall never dim them;
Rosy lips, no time shall fade them -
Jesus called her unto Him.
It is well, though never more
Her little form to earth be given;
She rests where sin and grief are o'er,
And thou shall meet thy child in haven.
