Another Pioneer Citizen Dead.

"For several days past is was known here that "Uncle Bob" Wright, living
six miles south of Holliday, was lying quite sick with heart trouble,
and each succeeding day his condition was reported more unfavorable,
hence, when his death was announced yesterday morning, though casting a
gloom over the community in which he was so well known and universally
respected, it was no surprise. He was 78 years of age and one of Monroe
county's most highly respected and honored pioneer citizens. He
breathed his last Wednesday morning, March 8th, 1899, at 1 o'clock,
surrounded by sorrowing relatives, to whom the sympathy of the entire
community goes out to partially alleviate their great sorrow. The
funeral services over his remains will be conducted at the Christian
church in Holliday, of which he had been so long a pillow and consistent
member, by Rev. C.H. Strawn, at 1 o'clock, today, after which they will
be consigned to last earthly resting place in the cemetery at Holliday,
with Masonic honors."
