Undated article; probably from the Madison Times. Extracted from the
newspaper article collection started in 1879 by Mrs. Nannie Brown of
Madison, Missouri.



Resolutions of Respect.



"Whereas, It has pleased the Supreme Architect of the Universe to call
from labor to rest, our dearly beloved Brother Wm. W. Swindell, who died
Wednesday night, Sept. 8th 1897, therefore,

Resolved, That, in the death of Brother Swindell, his family have lost a
devoted husband and father, the Lodge a faithful and useful member, and
the community an upright and honored citizen.

Resolved, That we will ever bear in grateful remembrance the zeal and
fidelity with which Brother Swindell discharged all his Masonic duties,
and will try to imitate his devotion to the grand principles of our
fraternity.

Resolved, That we tender our heartfelt sympathy and condolence to the
bereaved widow and children of our deceased Brother, and recommend them
to the care of that God whom brother Swindell served and (in) whom he
trusted.

Resolved, That a copy of these resolutions be spread upon our records, a
copy sent to the family of our deceased brother, and that they be
published in the Madison Times."
