IN MEMORIAM.
"Lizzie C. Hayden, nee Dixon, wife of Thomas Hayden, was born in
Pennsylvania in the year 1868; moved to Monroe county, Mo., March 16,
1875; was married Mar 11, 1891. About ten years ago she obeyed the
Savior and became a member of the Christian church at Branham school
house. She departed this life Nov. 30, 1895, and was buried at the
Swindell graveyard Dec 1, 1895. She leaves a husband, one child, a
father and a mother, three brothers, five sisters and a host of friends.
Ever faithful and true in all the relations of life, we think not of her
as being dead; for death's conquorer, whom she accepted as her Savior
says "And whosoever liveth and believeth shall never die." While here
she was a light and comfort never to be forgotten. To all her loved
ones could you hear the message she would say, "Weep not; dry your
terars; be faithful to him whom I loved. Good-bye, husband, child,
father, mother, sisters and brothers, till we meet on the other shore."
Truly, may listening love hear the rustling of wings, and faith lookup
and see a star at such a departure from a world of losses, cross and
trials, and we say with assurance:
The storms that rack the winter's sky,
No more disturb her sweet repose;
Than summer's evening latest sigh
That shuts the rose.
