IN MEMORY.
"Fell asleep in Jesus, on Sept. 18, 1898, at his home near Madison, Mo.,
our dear Uncle J. Wess McKinney, aged 57 years, 10 months and 12 days;
was married to Amanda E. Grimes, April 25, 1866, and has since resided
in this vicinity. United with the Church of Christ and ever sought to
honor and serve his Savior. The funeral was conducted by Elder C.H.
Strawn, in the presence of a large concourse of sorrowing relatives and
friends. Besides a host of relatives he leaves a wife and two sons, and
may they follow his example and in the end hear the Savior say, 'Well
done, thou good and faithful servant.' May his example encourage us to
be more faithful in the future and when life is over may we meet him in
that land where sickness and separation are unknown.
