Untitled, undated article; original source unknown. Extracted from the
newspaper article collection started in 1879 by Mrs. Nannie Brown of
Madison, Missouri.
"Ben Ellyson was killed by a passenger train in Arkansas recently. He
was on the rear platform of the caboose of a freight train when another
train crashed into it. He lived but a short time after the accident.
Mr Ellyson was raised near Madison. His wife, who formerly lived in the
Strother neighborhood, died about three months ago. Mr. Ellyson had
been a tie inspector on the Choctaw railroad for several years."
