Untitled, undated article; probably from the Monroe Appeal. Extracted
from the newspaper article collection started in 1879 by Mrs. Nannie
Brown of Madison, Missouri.

"Ernest Dawson died at the home of his father, E.P. Dawson, southwest of
Paris, last Friday of typhoid. Funeral services were conducted at Union
on Saturday. The crowd in attendance was very large and much grief was
manifested. Deceased was 26 years old. He was a young man of fine
business qualifications and was just entering upon what promised to be
an unusually successful and useful career. He was a member of the
Christian church and also belonged to the Married Men's League and
Modern Woodmen fraternities. The Appeal extends sympathy to the
bereaved family."
