Undated article; original source unknown. Extracted from the newspaper
article collection started in 1879 by Mrs. Nannie Brown of Madison,
Missouri.



Died.



"Noel - At the home of his son-in-law, T.A. Embree, three miles
southwest of Middle Grove, Mo., on Friday, August 8th, 1885, Mr. John A.
Noel, aged 86 years, 7 months and 13 days. Mr. Noel was born in Shelby
county, Ky., December 25th, 1799, and emigrated to Missouri in 1832. He
had been a member of the Christian church about 40 years and died with a
full belief in a blessed immortality beyond the grave. The remains were
buried Saturday evening in the Madison cemetery beside those of his
wife, who preceded him to the grave some twenty years. Funeral services
were conducted by Elder W.M. Featherston. The deceased leaves a large
circle of relatives and friends to mourn his death. Peace to his
ashes."
