I looked in the History Of Monroe County, MO of 1884. On page 281 of my
copy Victor is only mentioned as being a town in South Fork Township and
that Lebanon Baptist Church is near it.
It made me so sad when I first visited Florida, MO a couple years ago, to
see that most of Florida and all of Victor were under water as well as other
towns. My grandmother was born in Florida and I always wanted to see the
area, not realizing that Mark Twain Lake was there now. At least the
Florida Cemetery is still there.
