Undated article; original source unknown. Extracted from the newspaper
article collection started in 1879 by Mrs. Nannie Brown of Madison,
Missouri.
Death of Mrs. Callaway.
"At her home about three miles west of Madison, on Friday, January 14th,
1887, Mrs. Janie Callaway, wife of John N. Callaway, died of
pleuro-pneumonia. Janie Eggleston was born in Pendleton county, Va.,
July 23rd, 1855. At the age of three years she was brought to Missouri
by her parents. Was married to john N. Callaway December 24th, 1876.
She leaves one child, aged 6 months. She was a member of the Missionary
Baptist church and died in full faith and trust in a life of endless
bliss, beyond the grave (unknown) a wish to meet her friends over
there."
