Rose most of the records from that time period were destroyed in a fire in Jefferson City. Your best bet is to go directly to the Court House in Paris. They may have some odds and ends. The History Center at the University of Missouri at Columbia has a lot of newspapers from that time period, you might be able to find a death notice.
