"J.W. McKinney died at (his) home about five miles southeast of Madison
last Sunday, Sept. (18), 1898, of pneumonia. Mr. McKinney was a man of
perhaps fifty five years of age, was highly respected by all who knew
him, and his death will be sadly mourned, by the wife and two children,
who survive him, and a host of relatives and friends."
