article collection started in 1879 by Mrs. Nannie Brown of Madison,
Missouri.



A Sad Death.



"After weeks and weeks of intense suffering Edward Crow died at his
home, about 5 miles southwest of Paris, on Sunday morning, November 19,
1893, leaving a devoted wife, one child, father, mother, brothers and
sisters and a host of friends to mourn his death. His disease was lock
of the bowels or something of that character, and his sufferings were
great. Everything that loving hearts could suggest or willing hands
execute was done for his relief, but all to no avail, when death came
and relieved him from his bed of suffering. He was 28 years old. About
several years ago, he was married to Miss Minnie Young, daughter of
James Young, and nothing has ever marred their happiness, until his late
illness. He was of a kindly disposition and possessed a warm and tender
heart, and it is sad to think that one so young and vigorous should be
cut down in his, but such is fate, and his family and friends can only
bow in humble submission to Him who doeth all things well. To his
grief-stricken ones we tender our sincerest sympathy in their sad
bereavement."
