Untitled, undated article; probably from the Madison Times. Extracted
from the newspaper article collection started in 1879 by Mrs. Nannie
Brown of Madison, Missouri.

"The news by telephone was received here early Tuesday morning, that Wm.
B. Giddings, one of Monroe's best and most highly respected citizens,
living near Tulip, had died suddenly at three a.m., Tuesday, of heart
failure. Mr. Giddings went to bed in his usual good health, and the
death messenger came suddenly and without warning. He was the brother
of Mrs. T.M. Bassett, of this place, and the shock of the news of his
death was a terrible blow to her. Mr. and Mrs. Bassett left immediately
to attend the funeral and burial. To the afflicted ones, the Times
joins a host of friends in sincere sympathy."
