Undated article; probably extracted from the Monroe Appeal Extracted
from the newspaper article collection started in 1879 by Mrs. Nannie
Brown of Madison, Missouri.
Death of Thomas P. Sharp.
"Thomas P. Sharp died at his home near North Fork last Thursday.
Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. McMurry, after which the
remains were buried with Masonic rites and honors. We doubt if Monroe
County ever lost a better man or truer citizen than Uncle Tom. He was
82 years old. From early youth he had been a devout member of the
Methodist church. The Appeal deeply deplores his death for he was a
friend as true as steel."
