Death of Nett Riley.

"This community was deeply shocked last Thursday morning when the news
spread abroad that Nett Riley had been found dead in his bed that
morning at the home of his brother, Bud Riley, with whom he lived. He
had retired the night before in his usual good health. The next morning
his brother called him for breakfast about six o'clock and receiving no
answer to his repeated calls went up stairs to his room to waken him.
He was horrified to find him dead. He was lying on his back, his hands
folded on his breast and the bed clothing pulled up over him was
undisturbed, showing that he had died without a struggle. He had
evidently been dead only a short time as the body was still warm.

Mr. Riley was about sixty years old and unmarried. He was (a) man of
must excellent disposition, quiet and unostentatious and was held in
high esteem by all who knew him, and was especially loved by his
neighbors. His funeral was preached Friday afternoon by Elder Williams,
and his remains were laid to rest at the family burying ground on the
home place to the bereaved brothers and sister we extend our heartfelt
sympathy."
