Untitled, undated article; original source unknown. Extracted from the
newspaper article collection started in 1879 by Mrs. Nannie Brown of
Madison, Missouri.



"Mrs. Elizabeth Davis died at her home on Caldwell street, last Friday
afternoon, and was buried in the New Cemetery on Saturday afternoon,
after funeral services by Reb. J.H. Wright. Mrs. Davis was a widow of
the late Joseph Davis and was one of the pioneer women of this vicinity.
She had been greatly afflicted during the past few years and death must
have been a welcome relief from her sufferings. Modest and retiring in
disposition, patient in affliction, helpful and king, "Aunt (Bel)' was
highly esteemed by (unable to read the next few words) She was 87 years
