Mrs. Ellen Lewis.
"Mrs. Ellen Lewis, wife of Wm. Lewis died, near Goss, on Saturday
morning. This good Christian woman was born 80 years ago in England.
They came to Missouri in 1865. She was a member of the Methodist church
and a truly pious woman. The husband and seven children survive. The
funeral was conducted by Rev. R. White at the residence on Monday
morning. A large crowd of neighbors assembled thus manifesting their
confidence in the deceased and sympathy with the afflicted family."
