Anderson Blanton, Paris Jeweler for Half Century, Dies



"Paris - Anderson Blanton, 83, Paris jeweler for more than 50 years,
died about 5:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the Pleasant View Rest
Home, east of Paris. He had been a resident of the home about a year.
Born and reared in Monroe County, Mr. Blanton was the last of 10
children of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ben Blanton. He was a member of the
Paris Baptist Church. Surviving is one daughter, Mrs. Harriett Carter
of Los Angeles.

Th body is at the Speed and Blakey Funeral Home in Paris, where services
will be conducted at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon by Mr. Blanton's
pastor, the Rev. A.E. Baumgartner. Burial will be in Walnut Grove
cemetery at Paris."
