Mrs. Mary Bradley
"Mrs. Mary Bradley, formerly of Holliday, died Monday afternoon at the
home of her daughter, Mrs. Leonard Alexander, in Birmingham, Alabama,
after a long illness. She was the last of seven children of the late
Daniel H. and Susie T. Moore and was born in Monroe County. After
completing her schooling at Chillicothe, she taught in Monroe County for
two years. She was married to the late James Bradley, who farmed in
the Holliday vicinity. The couple built and lived in the present
Russell Wood home. One daughter died in infancy. Mrs. Bradley moved to
Birmingham when her health failed.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Alexander, four grand-children and
three great grand-children. Funeral services are being held Thursday
(today) at the Holliday Christian Church with Rev. B. Eugene Taylor,
pastor of the Ensley Christian Church of Birmingham, officiating
assisted by Rev. Amos Bienke with burial in the Bethel Cemetery at
Holliday."
