Nannie Brown of Madison, Missouri.



John William Phelps



"John William Phelps, 83 years old, died Saturday morning at the home of
a daughter, Mrs. R.D. Hawkins at Moberly. He had been ill for two years
and critically ill for three weeks. The son of the late John and Mary
Kelly Phelps, he was born in Monroe County and lived his entire life
there, in the Holliday vicinity, as a farmer and carpenter.

Surviving are his wife, the former Leah Foster, two daughters, Mrs. R.D.
Hawkins of Moberly and Mrs. Ed Markham of Los Angeles, California and
one granddaughter. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the
Holliday Christian church of which he was a charter member. Burial was
at Bethel Cemetery."
