Undated article from unknown source. Extracted from the newspaper
article collection started in 1879 by Mrs. Nannie Brown of Madison,
Missouri.
W.E. Howe
"William Edwin Howe, 92, of Holliday, died early Thursday morning in a
rest home in Moberly. Mr. Howe, a retired farmer, was born Oct. 21,
1886. He spent most of his life in the Holliday vicinity. He was a
member of the Holliday Christian Church. Mr. Howe was preceded in death
by his wife, Amy in 1957, and a son, Kenneth, died in World War II.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Amy Gwynn, of St. Louis; six sons, Ralph
Howe, Holliday, O.H. Howe, Paris; Arthur Howe, Los Angeles, Calif;
Harold Howe, Nickerson, Kan.; and Cecil Howe, St. Louis. Ten
grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. The body was at the
Thompson Mackler Funeral Home in Holliday until the hour of service
which were held Saturday at 2 o'clock at the Holliday Christian Church
with Rev. John Buck officiating. Burial was in the Walnut Grove
Cemetery at Paris."
