Claude B. Davis

"Claude B. Davis, 75, died Sunday night at his home near Madison. He
became suddenly ill Saturday morning and, although previously in ill
health, his death was unexpected. He was the son of the late Mr. and
Mrs. Buddy Davis and had lived in the Madison neighborhood his entire
life. He was a member of the Madison Christian Church. Mr. Davis was
first married to Miss Macie Farrell and they had two children, Mrs. Lyle
Anderson of California, and Oba B. Davis of Laramie, Wyo., both of whom
survive. After the death of his first wife he married Miss Stella
Hinebaugh, who also died, and he then was married to Mrs. Myrtle Attey.
He is survived by her and by two sisters, Mrs. C.R. Mitchell of Paris
and Miss Lessie Davis of Madison. A nephew is Billy T. Mitchell of
Paris. Funeral services were held in the Thompson Funeral Chapel at
Madison at 3 o'clock Tuesday afternoon by the Rev. C.W. Cornn of the
Madison Christian Church. Burial was in Sunset Hill cemetery at
Madison."
