Extracted from the newspaper article collection started in 1879 by Mrs.
Nannie Brown of Madison, Missouri.
Mrs. Gabe Hendren, 71, Dies; Funeral to be Held Thursday
"Madison - Mrs. Lizzie Porter Hendren, 71, widow of Gabe Hendren of the
Woodlawn vicinity, north of here, died yesterday in Boonville in the
home of a niece, Mrs. Ernest Meyers. Mrs. Hendren was a native of the
Woodlawn vicinity. She also is survived by three children, Mrs. Ernest
Morris, Mexico, Mrs. George Burgess, St. Louis, and Gabe Hendren, Flint,
Mich. Mr. Hendren died about 20 years ago. The body will remain in the
Thatcher Funeral Home in Boonville until brought to Oak Grove Baptist
Church, north of Madison, for funeral services at 2 o'clock Thursday
afternoon. Burial will be in the church cemetery."
