Cecil Vest Evans



"Cecil Vest Evans, 67, lifelong farmer of northwest of Paris, died
Friday morning at his farm home, after several months of serious illness
following brain surgery at Columbia. His remains were brought to Paris
to the Speed and Blakey Funeral Chapel, where services were conducted
Sunday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock, with Rev. Paul Rathbun, Paris
Christian pastor, officiating. Burial was in Walnut Grove cemetery in
Paris. Evans was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. James S. Evans and was
born in the Granville vicinity, where he had spent his life. Surviving
him are his widow, the former Miss Gladys Schmidt of Paris, one son,
Cecil Evans of northwest of Paris, and two grandsons and other
relatives."
