Extracted from the newspaper article collection started in 1879 by Mrs.
Nannie Brown of Madison, Missouri.
Mrs. Edgar Johnston
Mrs. Edgar Johnston, 60, died at 4:30 oclock Thursday afternoon at her
home, just north of Madison. She had been in bad health several years.
Mrs. Johnston born Lucy Mae Bullock on May 29, 1897, was adopted at the
age of 4 ½ years by the late Mr. and Mrs. G.W. Farrell of Madison. She
was married January 2, 1916, to Mr. Johnston. She is survived by her
husband, three daughters, Mrs. Leonard Hendren, Mrs. Raymond Yohe and
Mrs. Robert Smith, Madison; five grandchildren, Larry and Gary Yohe,
Robbie and Randy Smith and Richard Hendren; and by three brothers and
two sisters. Mrs. Johnston became a member of the Pleasant Green
Baptist Church at an early age and later transferred he membership to
the Madison Baptist Church. Funeral services were held at 2 oclock
Saturday afternoon in the Madison Baptist Church by the Rev. O.P.
Mckenzie of Kansas City, Kansas, former pastor here, assisted by the
pastor, the Rev. and Mrs. Colman White of Hannibal. Burial was in the
Sunset Cemetery.
