Mrs. Sula Stith
"Mrs. Sula Stith, 83, died at her home in Holliday Sunday afternoon.
She had been in ill health during most of the winter, and suffered a
light stroke Thursday. She was the former Sula Foster, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Joseph Foster. Mrs. Stith and her husband, Roscoe, came to
Missouri from Illinois for a visit fifteen years ago, and bought the
Stith home in Holliday, intending to retire there during later years.
After their return to Kankakee, Stith was killed in an accident in 1945,
after which Mrs. Stith came to the home they had bought at Holliday.
Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Will Phelps of Holliday; and three
brothers, Ben Foster who lived with her, and Jim and Cleve Foster also
of Holliday. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the
Holliday Christian Church by the Rev. John Foster, with burial in the
Holliday cemetery."
